Last week we celebrated my little Sophie's 5th birthday with a spy party....

Secret code invitations were sent out.
"Your mission should you choose to accept it..."
They arrived at the Secret Agent Training Center, chose their code names, and filled out their name badges. My favorite, "Marshmallow Top".

Bad guys were drawn, and were the subject of target practice....

They had to maneuver through the "trip wire" (string) to deactivate the bomb (snip of the ball o' string)....

We played an intense game of pass the bomb (hot potato) to "Mission Impossible" and "James Bond" music....

Took a break from agent training and ate mini "bombs"+ ice cream and sang "Happy Birthday" to the birthday girl....

....and ended the party with a scavenger hunt to find their spy gear: Disguises, top secret notebook + invisible ink pen, and explosives...just the necessities.

Other activities included an obstacle course, I-SPY game, and freeze dancing to the spy music. They passed all their training requirements with flying colors and are now officially....

That is seriously the cutest party I have ever seen. I am going to steal your idea for my little boys birthday next summer. So cute. BTW I love your work so much.

Angee and Thom - http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/226967/encrypted-save-date-how
Mindy - Yes, I just used red cellophane and white card stock.
Do you have the print outs for this adorable party? Also how do you make the bomb cakes. My sonis so excited for his party after seeing your blog!
Thanks
Susan
Susan, I don't have print outs (I just did them in Photoshop) but I did get that invite idea and encryption printout from the martha stewart link above. For the bomb cakes I just used silicon baking pan semi-circles and then frosted them together, froze them, then dipped them in chocolate. I used a chocolate coated mini marshmallow for the fuse. So simple. It was the funnest birthday I've done, the kids went gaga over it. Enjoy!
I wish I was a good Photoshop guru to make cool printouts like that. They are awesome! One day I will learn how :)
What Lens are you using for your photos? I love them!
Thanks,
Susan
Gorgeous!!! Love everything about this :)!!
Absolutely love this! My son is turning 6 and has asked for a spy party. You have by far the most fun ideas all in one plus an awesome invite! Thank you for the inspiration!
Love this party! We're giving our kids a spy kit for Christmas and then I *think* we're hosting a Spy New Years Eve/Birthday party for my almost 4 year old. Where did you find those great glasses/mustaches? They look to be much better quality than what I'm finding.
This is an absolutely darling idea! Kudos to you mom!!
